The demand for Agri Mega (Ltd) as an article 21 company’s services increased to such an extent that it became impossible to provide these services in the current structure. In the light of the increasing demand, as well as the diversified nature of these services, it became necessary to revise and reposition Agri Mega in al its facets.

The Agri Mega Group of focused businesses positioned itself in such a way that grouped disciplines can function as business units relevant to each other.

Organised agriculture over the broad spectrum, including the traditional definition of it as well as affirmative adjustments, namely to include the previously disadvantaged communities consisting mainly of so called emerging farmers and farm workers grouping, are facing great challenges. Some of these challenges, like land reform, are still not addressed with longed enthusiasm. In contrast to this, role players in current agricultural activities experience a decreasing tendency in the standard of service delivery, especially in infra-structure, while the global environment in which agriculture finds itself have the ideal climate for achievement.

Dynamic leadership with vision and positive thinking is now inevitable in order to ensure that agriculture stay on course in achieving sustainability as focus. The depreciation of agriculture’s primary role in a sustainable economy in South Africa will at this stage be fatal. At this stage only well selected leadership can make a difference.

Agri Mega instrumentally remains one of the vehicles for ensuring sustainability. It is therefore also necessary for the Agri Mega Group to be managed professionally to make a competitive contribution.
